Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway 90th gala weekend

We  have visited this wonderful little railway many times over the last forty years but the visit last Friday and Saturday .

For their 90 year gala was by far the best and probably better than any other preserved railway that I have visited this year .
A very ambitious timetable had something everyone and although timekeeping wasn't a strong point it didn't matter. The weather was kind, the engines immaculate as always and very friendly staff.
The highlight of two days for us was to see the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch railway parallel run on the 90th anniversary of opening

After staying in one location and a few cups of coffee from the  Romney marsh visitors centre , and getting friendly with a dog

We then moved up to the pilot for some lunch and some more trains

I must congratulate the people who had the done there best all day and we all had a great time
